Getting Involved

Get involved

Participation - Why do we want to involve patients and the public?

NHS Tayside has a strong commitment to involving patients and the public in the planning and delivery of services and, importantly, in their own care. The process of public involvement is giving ordinary people the chance to work in public partnership within NHS Tayside and to become involved in the decision making processes.

We want patients and carers to have more control of the decisions being made concerning their own health and we want the people in our communities to oversee the policy making process and ensure accountability in the system.

We want to engage with the whole community of Tayside and reflect the diversity of the area’s population.
