Getting to Stracathro by Bus

Stracathro Hospital is well served by local bus services including direct services from Brechin, Forfar, Arbroath and Dundee.

The hospital has three bus stops within the hospital site at
  • The learning centre - for staff residence, training and conference centre and cardiac rehab,
  • The diagnostic centre - for reception, outpatients, theatre complex, surgical unit, pre-assessment, therapy suite, minor procedure unit and orthopaedic nurse
  • The Porters Lodge - for social work department, Macmillan Centre and Susan Carnegie Centre.

Scottish Blue

Scottish Blue provide patient transfer services to Stracathro Hospital, Whitehills Health, Arbroath Infirmary from Dundee.

Anyone can use this service and it’s available from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Passengers will be collected from their home and drivers are on hand to provide any extra support where required. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible with low floors and grab handles for easy access.

This service can be booked by calling Scottish Blue on 01382 339 633 or by booking online. It’s advised to book your seat or wheelchair space as early as possible.
