Taysiders invited to attend World Alzheimer’s Day event in Dundee

People in Tayside are being invited to attend an event in Dundee to mark World Alzheimer’s Day on Wednesday, 21 September.

The discussion event will include information about the symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as the memory research currently taking place in Tayside.

The event will feature speeches from Professor Peter Connelly, NHS Tayside consultant old age psychiatrist in Perth & Kinross, Dr Calum Sutherland from Alzheimer’s Research UK and Dr Jane Robertson, lecturer in dementia studies from the University of Stirling.

The free event is being held in The Queen’s Hotel in the Nethergate on Wednesday, 21 September at 7pm and refreshments will be provided.

World Alzheimer’s Day is part of a global campaign to raise awareness of dementia and tackle stigma.
