Your Community, Your Voice, Your Future - Engaging with communities in South Perthshire

Residents in South Perthshire are being invited to attend engagement events to hear about future proposals for older people’s mental health services, which includes dementia care.

The current and future provision of older people’s community mental health services, including dementia care, in South Perthshire will be discussed during the events, as well as Crieff Ward 1, the recent engagement with existing users and carers of dementia services, and other available resources.

There will also be an opportunity to hear about additional support available in the community for people living with dementia and mental health needs, such as carer’s support, the use of innovative technology and information provision.

The events will be held on the following dates:

    • Friday, 28 July, 2017, between 10am – noon, Aytoun Town Hall, Auchterarder.

    • Friday, 28 July, 2017, between 2pm – 4pm, at Strathearn Community Campus, Crieff.

Arrangements are also currently being made for an engagement event in Kinross and further details will be publicised when details are confirmed.

Robert Packham, Chief Officer for Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership, said, “We would like the local community to help us further improve the health and care services we provide.

“The views of the communities in South Perthshire are very important to us. It is vital that our local health services respond to the needs of the communities and we want to ensure that care is delivered by the right person, in the right place, at the right time.

“We are keen for members of the public to get involved and feedback their views, opinions and ideas for health and social care in their own communities.”
